Religion doctrines are beliefs or tenets on theological matters. These doctrines as it relates to health in our community is a practice whereby the people rely on miracle healings, hopes and fate; in many cases they engage in rituals, fasting and praying, for the solution of their ailment, sickness and diseases to vanish into thin air.

Take for instance someone who suffers a headache instead of taking paracetamol to relieve the pain, afterwards consults a doctor on the matter. Covid-19 pandemic has buttressed this fact. It proved that spirituality alone cannot combat and did not eradicate the pandemic diseases. As millions of people including the religious fanatics took to their heels and embraced science approved measures for curbing Covid-19 pandemic. Such measures include; regular washing of our hands, applying sanitizers on palms and wearing a nose mask, keeping social distance. All this practice is science oriented.
